E-learning RECO Module 2 – Leading the development of a climate and environmental impact reduction strategy, CCD, March 2024

Published on 25 March 2024

The formulation of a RECO strategy is a crucial step in questioning ourselves as an institution: how does the organisation position itself in relation to these environmental and climate issues? What actions and measures can be put in place? What steps can we take to involve our organisation, management, colleagues and partners? How can we set a course and prioritise the actions to be taken?

The 4-part adventure of Organisational Environmental and Climate Responsibility (RECO) continues with this second module.

In Module 1, you discovered the many reasons for taking climate and environmental issues into account when working in the international solidarity sector.

Now that the foundations have been laid, it’s time to get started!

In this chapter, you will learn:

  • What are the building blocks of a RECO strategy tailored to the specific characteristics of your organisation?
  • What obstacles need to be overcome and what are the factors for success ?
  • How to lead the development of a realistic and achievable action plan
  • How to monitor the actions taken, capitalise on these experiences and share learning among peers

In addition, you will find out where French-speaking NGOs in the sector stand, and you will have access to practical resources and tools to enable you to initiate the process within your own organisation.

Length of course: approximately 1h30

This training course is offered as part of the PAMOC4 project run by GRET, CARE France, Geres, Electriciens sans Frontières and CARI, and co-financed by AFD.
