The REH Forum in April 2025 will focus on ‘Ecological transition: humanitarians or scientists, same battle(s)? Like the international solidarity sector, the world of research is questioning the environmental impact of its activities, its ecological transition and its position in the face of the global ecological crisis. So what links are there between the transition of international solidarity NGOs and that of research? What ethical questions might emerge, and how should the transition be framed? What practices can be shared?
With presentations on:
- Ecological transition of research: feedback on the opinion of the CNRS ethics committee, by Stéphanie Thiébault
- Science and international solidarity – what parallels for the ecological transition? Discussion between Nicolas Gratiot from the IRD and Camille Theron from Handicap International/Humanity and Inclusion.
- Humanitarian in Rebellion? A view from a former humanitarian and climatologist, member of Scientifique en Rébellion, by Aude Carréric
Join us on 3 April from 2pm to 4pm to discuss this vast subject!
