As the climate emergency is accelerating, solutions to better enable the climate transformation of humanitarian organisations are needed now.
After a consultation in 2023 with the humanitarian donor community, (I)NGOs and UN agencies, the Climate Action Accelerator developed a policy brief, titled “Leading the way: How donors and organisations can unlock financial blockages to accelerate the climate transformation of the humanitarian sector.”
The document explores opportunities to unlock financial blockages slowing down efforts to scale up the implementation of climate and environmental strategies by humanitarian actors, and ways donors can further contribute to enable such transformation and “lead the way.”
Join this launch event, in which we will present the analysis and recommendations identified in the policy brief. We’ll be joined by humanitarian practitioners and donors who’ll share their perspective with us and discuss key recommendations and actions going forward
