Abstract

“During a power shortage, access to basic WASH services is frequently interrupted. While WASH utilities struggle with limited finances and high fuel costs, the traditional backup resources (generators) represent a barrier on WASH utilities’ shoulders. The Renewable Energy solutions offer a feasible and low-cost operation source of backup energy for basic WASH services during emergencies.”
