In the race to meet 2030 environmental goals, aid and development organisations are stepping up, committing to organisational change and substantial CO2 reductions. Using the ESAT tool will help organisations assess their current environmental performance and areas of improvement towards industry best practices.
The tool has been developed collaboratively, with inputs and testing from more than 10 practitioner organisations in the aid and development sector. It is designed to support organisations to self-assess against a number of recognised best practice standards and requirements, including the DG ECHO Minimum Environmental Requirements and Recommendations (MERR).
