Analysis Note “Alternatives To Conventional (Petroleum-Based) Plastics in Packaging”, March 2023

This report focuses on alternatives to plastics in packaging. Plastic is a particular type of packaging that is problematic for humanitarian actors and prevalent in their work. However, identifying sustainable alternatives is complex, and rather than providing answers, this document aims to provide information and food for thought, to help procurement and programme staff make more informed decisions.
