The MERA matrix aims at guiding humanitarian field teams (especially project developers and technical advisors) to analyse the environmental risks related to their projects and find appropriate mitigation measures for those risks. It has been created by a Working Group gathering different NGOs through the French-based Humanitarian Environment Network (Réseau Environment Humanitaire – REH). The matrix provides a non-exhaustive database of mitigation measures for each environmental risk associated with the Health & Nutrition , Food Security & Livelihoods, Water, Sanitation & Hygiene, Shelter and Mental Health and Psychosocial Support sectors. This webinar, with the participation and support of members of the REH and the Global Nutrition Cluster, will introduce you to the MERA matrix, with a particular focus on its Health and Nutrition tab. Member organisations of the Environmental Assessment WG: Action Contre la Faim France, ACTED, French Red Cross, Foundation Terre des Hommes, Groupe URD, Netherlands Red Cross, Première Urgence Internationale, Solidarités International.
The webinar will be conducted in French, with simultaneous interpretation in English.
