Webinar “Humanitarian WASH Innovations”, Partenariat français pour l’Eau and Action contre la Faim, 11/03/2026

The next webinar on waste management, co-organized by the Partenariat français pour l’Eau and Action Against Hunger, will take place on March 11. These webinars are a continuation of the Humanitarian WASH Workshops held in January 2025, co-organized by the Veolia Foundation and the Partenariat français pour l’Eau. They aim to continue technical discussions and explore in greater depth the issues identified as priorities for the humanitarian sector. Alongside each meeting of the Partenariat français pour l’Eau’s emergency WASH working group, a technical discussion session will be organized in French and English. These workshops are public and open to all.

NB: Two webinars have already taken place: desalination (September 12, 2025) and solar energy (December 10, 2025).

The workshop will take place in webinar format, online, with two sessions in English and French, each lasting one hour.

The topics/speakers are:

• ACF – Céline Heim, Sustainable Supply Chain Coordinator: How can circular economy principles be integrated into emergency contexts?
• Plastic Odyssey – Jean-Baptiste Grassin, Technical Assistance Project Manager: Micro-factories for plastic waste recovery and feedback from humanitarian organizations (e.g., Acted in Mayotte, etc.)
• IOM – Josep de Trincheria, WASH Program Manager (South Sudan): Solid waste management project (recycling plastic into bricks and sludge into briquettes)
• Veolia Foundation: under discussion

The presentation will be in two parts:

• A 25-minute presentation, supported by a few slides. Several speakers will take the floor during this session to provide additional perspectives.
• A 35-minute question and answer session.
