MSF is organising a conference on Tuesday 27 October 2026 to bring together the perspectives of climatologists and humanitarian workers on climate forecasting tools and their operational use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">MSF has begun investing in <strong>forecasting and early warning systems<\/strong>: early warnings for floods and heatwaves, malaria forecasting, and seasonal calendars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, these tools are still relatively new, far from being widely adopted, and raise practical questions: over what timescales and geographical areas are they reliable? How can they be integrated with local risk cultures rather than replacing them?
