The rapid environmental screening tool NEAT+ which is widely adopted and used by the humanitarian community of practice is one of these endangered instruments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The joint position paper <strong>&#8220;SAVE OUR NEAT+ \u2013 Safeguarding Environmental Standards in Humanitarian Action&#8221;<\/strong> which has been edited by a German technical working group calls on donors, policy makers and the humanitarian community to take action to preserve and further develop this tool in order to meet the requirement to &#8220;Do no Harm&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Organisations wishing to co-sign this communication are invited to send <strong>their written consent and logo by June 26, 2026,<\/strong> to <a href=\"mailto:advocacy@adra.de\">advocacy@adra.de<\/a> \u2013 which is also the right address for possible questions.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-tonique-1-color\">Warning, this is a draft and not the final version of the position paper!<\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Humanitarian action is increasingly shaped by climate and environmental risks &#8211; yet the practical tools needed to assess and mitigate these risks are under threat due to shrinking funding.
